AHHHH so many ideas from MARTY SCHAPIRO!!!! thank you for coming to my studio marty....and thank you for showing me maurice denis work. i love this time period, late 1880s, edward burne-jones is amazing too...i have so much to say and think about and DO. i really need a schedule for myself to be productive in these coming months...i have a show coming up in san francisco at ben fash's gallery and i am working very hard to decide the theme and i ithink it will be wooden skins. a body of wooden bodies. maybe they can all add up together to make a trojan z. like a trojan hourse.

PROJECTS: 1
LEATHER BODY SUIT- alejandro is giving me leather. i picked out some of his many scraps and they are gorgeosus and i am going to learn to use the tools to SEW with leather and oil it and work it and that is very exciting...i really like the idea of wearing real skin. adds to the lace body suits, corpse like effect. on saturday i am going to get all the leatehrmaterial to my studio and hten i can begin with the borrowed tools...

2: WOODEN BODIES- i am going to try to do 5 a week. I should make a new calendar, after talking to ben fash about hte dates of the show... i want to carry around my friends who are misssing (which is essentially all of them at any given time) -- i have reasons to doubt and worry about my interest in this project but mostly it is just something that i believe i can accomplish RAPIDLY and that is what is most important...i have the technique down....

3. LACE CURTAINS- figurative tapestries, in order to get htis porject underway i need: a scroll saw in my studio, which is now (at least temporarily) on MOTT AND BROOME St and huge and glorious and i share it with a great painter-- LOLA!! and some 2x4s, and my drill...(to construct the wall to work on)--
i will begin iwth the projection and sewing otmorrow...

4. FINISH THE BROTHERS PAINTING- in order to have the new wrk reaedy for grad school interviews which hopefuly i will begin to hear about starting soon... marty had lots fo good advice about this piece righ tnow and said interesting things about the "altar" and also i realized first i banked on joeys advice, then alex kestner's, and now martys...i need to add more gold leaf into the water, paint the water more realistically and lesss ribbony- and add MORE LIGHT INOT THE TOP OF THE PAINTING- and maybe max's refelction to help explaint hat he is underwater...also maybe light in the foreground too- but marty is right stik to the palette of the image i created in photoshop reather than the real photo...

5. 3D stuff is ("on hold") right now- cant get to into it because i am getitng ahead of mtsyef technically and i really want to be quickly and massively productive in this moment. marty had an idea though- silk screening large scale flower patterns- i tried to do lithography but i struggled with the process. ive been thinking about silk screening anyways in my bedroom so maybe i should give it a shot!?
